Jolly Holiday Gift Card Holders

Only 16 days til Christmas! We're getting down to the wire. If you're like me you'll  be giving at least one person on your Christmas list a gift card. That's why today's project is a gift card holder. I've been selling a lot of these in my Etsy shop this week. This style seems to be especially popular.

  • Cut a piece of card stock to 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" (you can make 3 gift card holders from 1 piece of 8 1/2 x 11" CS)
  • Score CS @ 2 1/2" on one end and 2" on other end.
  • Use Rounded Corner Punch to round corners on the 2" end
  • Cut 3 pieces of Designer Paper
    • 3 1/4 " x 1 3/4"
    • 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"
    • 3 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Use Rounded Corner Punch to round corners on one side of 1 3/4" piece of Designer Paper.
  • Run adhesive along side edges only of 2 1/4" side of card stock and fold up to form gift card pocket
  • Attach designer paper to outside of gift card holder
  • Attach a small piece of velcro to 2" side and fold down.
  • Punch out 1 3/4" card stock Scallop, 1 3/8" card stock circle
  • Stamp greeting or image on Very Vanilla CS and punch out with 1 1/4" circle punch. (I used a images from the "Every Little Bit" stamp set
  • Layer circles and scallop and attach to front of card holder.

Jolly Jingles Simple Christmas Card

Today's card uses the Jolly Jingles Jumbo Wheel.  Talk about an easy card.  Just ink up the wheel with Real Red ink (I used a classic ink pad), roll it across some white card stock, and attach it to some card stock and designer paper. I thought it looked a little plain so I punched out a real red snowflake with the XL Snowflake punch and added some Basic Pearls.

Wild Wasabi Snowflakes

It's cold outside today and Aubrey keeps asking if it's going to snow. The poor thing, she's dying to see snow, but living in Florida about the only place she's going to see even a snowflake is on my card.

I got my new snowflake punch in my last week but I didn't have time to play with it until yesterday.  I was a little worried at first because it seemed to stick and it was really difficult to punch. But after a few "test runs" with some scrap paper, it seems to have loosened  up and is punching well.

  • Stamp Set:  Occasional Quotes - Level 3 Hostess (120142)
  • Ink:  Real Red Classic Ink Pad (103133)
  • Card Stock:  Wild Wasabi (108641), Real Red (120482), Whisper White (100730)
  • Paper:   Woodland Walk (117389)
  • Punches:  XL Snowflake (119852), 2 3/8" Scallop Circle (118874),  2" x 1 3/8" XL Oval (119859), 1 3/4" Circle (119850)
  • Ribbon:  1/4" grosgrain - real red (109034)
